"The modern-day version of a drive-in is a movie in the park," says Glen Sanders. Sanders founded Fresh Air Flicks, a company that rents inflatable theaters that can be set up in less than an hour.
"It's like sailing a boat," says Sanders, a Burlington native. "We've figured out how to set it up just right in the wind."
The screen is two stories high. The projection (rear or front) is digital (the shows play off DVDs) with surround-sound speakers.
The company's screens have been used periodically this summer at parks in New Jersey towns. Towns have picked movies from Casablanca to Shrek 2 - basically anything that's available on DVD.
Fresh Air Flicks has also set up the screen for the ongoing summer film series in Manhattan's Riverside Park and in a park at the base of the Brooklyn Bridge in a neighborhood known as DUMBO.
