Fresh Air Flicks & Phish Rock Burlington VT

July 8, 2006 — BURLINGTON, VT

On Sunday July 9, 2006 outdoor movie operator Fresh Air Flicks captivated a crowd of 2,500 gathered for the world premiere screening of Phish Live in Brooklyn in Burlington VT's Waterfront Park. The film which captures the band's historic 6/7/04 Coney Island concert, was presented using Brooklyn based Fresh Air Flicks' outdoor movie technology including a 2-Story inflatable movie screen, 1,000 watt sound system, and digital projection.

The legendary PHISH tapped Fresh Air Flicks to produce the free event, as a way for fans to relive the magic of the defunct band's live shows. The screening a benefit for local non-profit Burlington City Arts promoted the recent release of the 2-DVD, 3-CD set Live in Brooklyn which hit store shelves on July 11th.

The picturesque setting on the shore of Lake Champlain, larger than life outdoor movie screen, and ample amounts of Magic Hat beer and Ben & Jerry's Phish Food ice cream helped create a memorable party atmosphere. Noting that the outdoor movie screening drew more than the band's early career gigs in Burlington, Phish bassist Mike Gordon stated simply, "I wish I was there".

"PHISH was such an innovative band," explains Fresh Air Flicks president Glen Sanders, "It's only natural they chose such an innovative concept as an outdoor movie to launch this DVD. We're honored to be chosen by the group to produce this special event and as Brooklynites we're doubly honored that the band chose to release a DVD that showcases an historic gig in Coney Island."
