Michael Jackson Memorial to be Shown on Outdoor Video Screen in Harlem
July 7, 2009 — Fans will Be Able to Honor King of Pop in Front of State Office Building
Harlem, NY - A giant high-definition video screen will be set-up outside the Adam Clayton Powell State Office Building at 163 west 125th street in Harlem to broadcast the Michael Jackson Public Memorial live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The event is made possible through the generous support of the New York State Office of General Services who his hosting the event and Fresh Air Flicks, a local business that is donating the video screen and sound system. The two organizations teamed up in January 2009 to provide a free public screening of The Presidential Inauguration at the same location.
Coverage of the Public Memorial will begin at 1pm EST on Tuesday July 7th. The New York State Office Building is located at 163 West 125th Street at the corner of 7th Ave. and is accessible by bus via the M02, BX15, M60, M100 and M101 and by subway via the 2,3, A, B, C, D trains to 125th St. stations.
