Case Study: Ropes in The Flower Bed
Situation: A Pennsylvania Park has built an amphitheater for small performances. The stage area is beautifully landscaped with a flower garden that surrounds the back half of the stage. There is nowhere to drive stakes in the ground to anchor the screen.
Challenge: Our wide screen frame required heavy ropes to run 25' along the ground. This would run right through the flower bed.
Solution: The tie-lines from our lighter weight frame begin about four feet from the ground. By inserting a special perforated screen we’ve reduced the wind drag and therefore the amount of weight required to safely anchor the screen. With sandbags, we can safely anchor the screen to the pavement, leaving the flower bed completely undisturbed.
Result: The park gets to show off the variety of uses for this unique space by hosting an outdoor movie on a BIG 2-story movie screen. There’s no additional cost to utilize this great space because the weights are included in the standard package price. |
